Denton Weekend Weather Will Be Unsettled...

As if you didn’t know, a cold front has moved through the area this morning and it will keep it cloudy and cool for the day. I’ve even seen some reports of drizzle and light rain around the area. We’ve probably already seen our high temperatures today and will hang in the 50s for the rest of the day. This will probably be the coolest day for the next 5 days.

There is an upper level disturbance in northern Mexico that will be moving across the area tomorrow and will give us a chance of some showers and thunderstorms. They probably will occur during the first part of the day and then move on out with the disturbance. The humidity will be increasing as the winds will come back to the south during the day tomorrow and begin to transport some gulf moisture towards us. This will set us up for some more sticky feeling spring weather on Sunday.

On Monday a pretty strong disturbance will be moving out of the Rockies and will drag the west Texas dryline towards us. With warmth and moisture in place there could be some severe weather on Monday. I'll definitely keep an eye on that for you. Local storm spotters and chasers - keep Monday on your pending chase day list.

Overall expect a warm and humid weekend with a chance of showers and storms on Saturday. High temperatures tomorrow should make it into the lower 70s and then we will be pushing the 80 degree mark on Sunday. Tonight we will have a chilly low in the upper 40s. Saturday night and Sunday night lows will be in the lower 60s.
