Beautiful weekend on tap for Denton...

The cold front that came through this morning and gave a few of us some showers has moved on into east Texas. A large area severe weather outbreak is ongoing at this time in the mid Mississippi valley. Numerous tornadoes have been reported along with fatalities. That will be the main story on the news this evening.

As for the Denton area we are on the quiet and pleasant side of the front. Nice weather will stay with us through the weekend. The humidity will be low, so we will see warm afternoons and cool mornings through Sunday. Nighttime lows will be in the upper 40s to near 50 degrees and the daytime highs will be in the 70s. A reinforcing shot of dry cool air will move into the area with another cold front tomorrow. No rain is expected with this front, but we will see gusty north winds of 20-25mph during the day on Saturday.

A chance of rain and storms will be introduced into the forecast beginning on Monday. A large upper-level storm system will dominate our weather for much of the week and we may have to deal with some severe storms at times. As we move closer to that event I’ll be able to pin down the timing of storm systems it.

Everyone have a great weekend.

WeatherToGolf radars will be up and down for a couple of days due to computer maintenance. I figured since the weather will be calm this would be the best time to take care of this. Thanks for your patience.
