Scattered storms, some heavy still expected across the area later this afternoon and tonight...

The atmosphere continues to slowly moisten up and the front continues its slow trek into the western sections of North Texas. The Storms Prediction Center (SPC) has narrowed down an area for a possible weather watch this afternoon. I would expect it to be a Severe Thunderstorm Watch as the conditions are just not quite right for tornadoes. Storms are still expected to form along the front sometime after 4pm.

Here is the area outlined by the SPC. This update was issued at 1:30pm:






At this time I will continue with my previous forecast post without much change. Additional data and comments will be posted as needed.
